ATTENTION NJ WATER/WASTEWATER LICENSING EXAM APPLICANTS AND EXAM CANDIDATES
Effective January 6, 2023, New Jersey will switch from the use of remotely proctored exams to exams administered at testing centers. Below please find information regarding this switch:
Exam candidates may schedule an exam at a testing center on or after January 6, 2023.
Exam candidates will no longer be able to schedule a remotely proctored exam on or after January 6, 2023.
The testing fee to schedule an exam at a testing center is $104.
Exam candidates that have previously scheduled a remotely proctored exam to take place on or after January 6, 2023 will not be changed. If a candidate has already scheduled a remotely proctored exam and would like to switch to an exam administered at a testing center, or for any other reason needs to reschedule after January 6, 2023, they will need to contact DEP or WPI (formerly ABC) directly. It is recommended that candidates do not make that switch with PSI’s customer service as this is not a routine circumstance. These candidates would also need to pay the difference in the testing fee to do so.
Exam candidates have the option to utilize the network of PSI testing centers throughout the U.S.
At PSI testing centers, candidates will have access to an onscreen calculator and a formula table. Formula tables are also provided in hard copy. Calculators are allowed as long as they are basic without graphing and alpha-numeric functions. PSI can also provide a calculator to candidates if needed. An overview of the PSI testing center experience is available at PSI Test Center Experience - PSI (wistia.com) .
