Training is the bedrock of NJWATER services. One of the main reasons we are in existence is to provide class-room and on-site training to water and wastewater utility personnel on the most up-to-date methods of efficient utility operations and management techniques. Our instructors come from many backgrounds in the waterand wastewater field. Many instructors hold T,W,C or N Class Licenses or have worked in the regulatory or compliance aspect of water/wasterwater.
Registration for classes are from 8:00AM - 8:30AM unless noted otherwise. All training from NJWATER is for credit please arrive on time.

Public Relations, Consumer Outreach and Public Notification are all about promoting understanding, support and goodwill between your water/wastewater system and the public.It’s a means to protect public health, build trust with consumers through open and honest sharing of information, and establish an ongoing, positive relationship with the community.Any type of Consumer Outreach, or Public Notice can also help consumers understand rate increases and support increased funding for drinking water / wastewater treatment and source water protection.

REGULATORY UPDATE 2010 & 2011
The members of New Jersey Water Association will be hosting speakers from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection – Division of Water Supply who will explain the Safe Drinking Water Act regulatory requirements and revisions, and provide answers to your questions about how these rules, regulations and changes affect your water system.
The purpose of this course is to instruct participants in techniques for maintaining water quality in water distribution systems, and in the proper selection, installation, operation and maintenance of distribution system equipment.The rapid changes in regulations, materials and technologies present many new challenges and opportunities.Instructors will discuss and demonstrate techniques necessary to ensure the reliable delivery of safe, high quality water under adequate pressure to the utility’s customers.Hands-on demonstrations will be provided using hydrants, valves, joints and other distribution system supplies, tools and equipment.
